Inaugurated in 1969 by the Departamento de Estradas e Rodagem (DER), Recanto dos Papagaios is located near the highway BR-277, between Palmeira and Balsa Nova. It’s an area with wide green fields, barbecue places and snack bars open to visitors. It also has many natural pools close to Rio dos Papagaios. The place guarantees fun for the whole family. It is also a stop for truck drivers and ecological hikings at Escarpa de São Luiz do Purunã.

Surrounded by araucaria and Brazilian walnut trees, Serra de São Luiz do
Purunã is located at an altitude of 1.050 meters. A subtropical and humid place
with temperatures that vary between 12 to 27 degrees Celsius throughout the
year makes attractions such as canyons, lakes and waterfalls really enjoyable.
Estrada da Faxina
A trail with fresh air, surrounded by vibrant green
In Balsa Nova, Estrada da Faxina gives you a tour in densely wooded areas in total contact with nature. In a strip of 15 km between Campo Largo e São Luiz do Purunã, its entrance through the highway BR-227 next to Cimentos Itambé, it provides a view on Igreja da Faxina, also passing by the source of the Açungui River. An experience of close contact with nature, to breathe fresh air and enjoy a stunning scenery.
